A Little About Burton Locking Wheel-Nut Removal

A problem motorists often come across on modern vehicles is realising the locking wheel nut key has been lost, or worse, the locking wheel nuts/bolts corroded in/over torqued to the point the key can’t take the force required to undo them and the key rounds off or breaks leaving them with a problem when repairs need to be carried out.

They come in many different types depending on manufacturer. Nearly all of which are designed to resist drilling, chiseling and reverse thread sockets.They are anti theft devices at the end of the day and designed not to be easily removed with everyday tools causing a further problems often results from attempting to chisel them or hammer sockets over them which often causes damage to the alloy wheels which can be avoided.

Rang this company up and within the hour luke turned up and removed all 4 locking wheel nuts within 15 minutes, really impressed as I took my mercades to a garage and they couldn’t remove the really tight front one that broke my key off, would highly recommend this guy, and reasonably priced too, saved me a lot of hassle and time. Absolutely great service. Came out Sunday night to remove seized wheel nuts from my BMW m135i and fit new wheels. Nice bloke and reasonably priced! Would recommend to any with locking nut problems!

I rang in the morning and was able to be squeezed in the same afternoon. I needed four bolts removing from my VW T4 van for which I’d snapped the removal key and had failed to source a new one so was pretty stuck!
The offending bolts were removed carefully without a scratch to my alloys, while I waited – all done pretty quickly considering how much three of them had been torqued up.
A highly recommended service, would definitely use again but hopefully won’t have to!
